The Project Management teams of Ampleon are based in three locations: Nijmegen/Netherlands, Shanghai/China and Toulouse/France. 

You are going to be part of the team in France where we design, develop, and lead the industrialization of RF Power Amplifiers and RF Modules for 4G/5G mobile phone base stations. This position reports to the Senior Director Program Management.

You will be leading an international and cross-functional project team, will work with other project managers and the local R&D functions (RF designer, validation engineer, product engineer) as well as remote team members (package & assembly engineer, test engineer, quality engineer, operations, marketing and sales, etc.) to develop and release highly complex RF power products. You are fully accountable for the overall product development, from the identification of the customer requirements to the realization of the first prototypes demonstrating great performance to our customers, and until full product release for mass production.

In this role, you will: 

• Develop the overall project plan and ensure planned project activities are executed timely and efficiently to meet the production start and release schedule, in line with the Ampleon quality assurance process 
• Tune the project plan with the Program Manager and the Resource Managers 
• Execute professional risk management, by using tools like brainstorming sessions and FMEA 
• Organize and drive problem analysis and resolution activities 
• Set priorities within the project boundaries
• Lead a cross-functional engineering team for product development 
• Operationally guide employees within the project, take personal capabilities and personal development aspects into account, in cooperation with Resource Managers 
• Inspire, encourage and drive the team members, ensuring a high level of motivation and commitment 
• Recognize potential and actual team conflict, support and coach the team and individuals, helping them to maintain team focus and achieve solutions together
• Align with program management, marketing and operations to meet customer requirements 
• Timely escalate issues and risks to program management, taking responsibility to resolve project issues 
• Drive close cooperation with customers interfaces and suppliers during the development project 
• Report on the progress of the project to all relevant stakeholders, including key project gates in the Project Review Board meetings

We are looking for someone who has the following background and capabilities: 

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a full-time project manager role, in an industrial company and preferably in the semiconductor domain 
• Fluent in English and French 
• Solid communication skills, both verbal and in writing 
• Team player and motivator, coaching skills required 
• Result-oriented and accurate in execution 
• Problem solver; thinking in scenarios 
• Master’s degree minimum in a technical discipline, preferably electronics 
• Knowledgeable in RF, integrated circuit and assembly process will be a strong plus 
• PMP certification is also a plus
